Cycling 'My View' picture. Chris Froome on his way to Winning Bronze Medal at the London 2012 Olympics Time Trial.

After just watching the London 2012 Olympics Time Trial in Cobham Surrey, I reflected on my own racing past and involvement in all things cycling. So, the time now seems right to take a look back and also at today’s cycling. I don’t know where this will go, but I hope you enjoy my pictures and the odd bit of nostalgia along the way.

Luis León Sánchez Gil 'Broken Chain' London 2012 Olympics Time Trial 1st August 2012

Luis León Sánchez Gil

Face of change as dreams evaporate for Sanchez, now watching Tony Martin ride to his eventual Silver medal after being passed nr Cobham on what must be an Olympics to forget. Sánchez started his day by snapping the chain with his starting effort, forcing a bike change and inevitable lost time. His form was good after a fine performance in the recent Tour De France Time Trial, so expectations were high. Huge crowds nr Cobham cheered him on as he passed, but by now his ride was more out of respect than a race he’d already lost. Bravo Sánchez.
