Blog introduction

Cycling 'My View' picture. Chris Froome on his way to Winning Bronze Medal at the London 2012 Olympics Time Trial.

After just watching the London 2012 Olympics Time Trial in Cobham Surrey, I reflected on my own racing past and involvement in all things cycling. So, the time now seems right to take a look back and also at today’s cycling. I don’t know where this will go, but I hope you enjoy my pictures and the odd bit of nostalgia along the way.

Fabian Cancellara London 2012 Olympics Time trial 1st August 2012

Against all odds

Fabian Cancellara arrived at the Olympic Time trial today after a terrible fall in the road race just 4 days earlier. His shoulder taking a hammering after coming down heavy on a corner which seemed most out of character. His cornering style and bike handling now legendary. His determination to ride in pain just shows what this man is made of. When he arrived at the corner from Seven Hills Road & Byfleet Road the  crowds roared with encouragement. He may have not won on this occasion but for the man who rides on passion, nothing could stop him trying.

We applaud you Spartacus.
